11:11 Touch 3 things and make a wish
When I started dating Joe, whenever his daughters were in the car, and the clock would strike 11:11, they would remind me, “touch 3 things and make a wish.”
Little did we all know that 11:11 and 1:11 and all things of 1 would soon start to follow me wherever I went (to this day, 25 years later).
I’ve always been interested in and able to hold this idea of cycles within cycles and trying to see the macro and the micro. The last three weeks have been beckoning me to look at the larger cycle of Shatabishak, the 100 healers nakshatra where Saturn has been transiting. From the beginning of this year, I’ve been ruminating on it, curious and aware of my “extra” curiosity and interest. My Mars is with Shatabishak but it seemed like more was calling to me than just this transit. Me and Saturn have a rocky relationship to say the least. He has definitely been one to knock me down a peg or two and help me find my way in this world as a better person.
Today I finally sat down to do a little research. Three weeks ago it dawned on me that Saturn would retrograde twice through Shatabishak, which means we would have not one, not two but three opportunities to learn the ways of Saturn and Shatabishak.
That seems a little intense to me, but I’ve been on this healing journey now for 18+ years (and I’m ready for a little bit of slowing down).
So, I wondered, what is this larger cycle. Does Saturn do this every 30 years? 60?
In 1994, Saturn transited this nakshatra from February 2, 1994 through February 25, 1995. He stayed confined within the realm of Shatabishak nakshatra. Looking at Wikipedia, it wasn’t the hardest of times but there was some common themes happening.
And the prior transit of Saturn through this area of the zodiac was March of 1964 through January of 1966, and Saturn transited Shatabishak three times through his retrogrades.
Looking through those years historically and comparing it to what has happened thus far in the transit, looks like we are par for the course. Go ahead and search through the years here: 1964, 1965
The difference between the 60 year cycle and the 30 year cycle is Jupiter. In the larger cycle, as where are now and in 1964, Jupiter is transiting Aries and then Taurus, which brings a more fiery initiation of change. And Jupiter is the spiritual teacher of the Zodiac. In the 30 year cycle, as in 1994, Jupiter is in diplomatic Libra which is a much softer, resilient (can’t we all get along) placement.
So that gives you a bigger overarching picture of what I’m seeing as a larger cycle. I’m less interested in mundane astrology other than looking at these larger cycles. If this interests you, I’d recommend looking at those three historical years and compare to 2023 thus far. This will be a better practice for me to look at in January of 2025 when Saturn has left this area for good.
From a microcosm cycle, I’m looking at my lived life experience, those who are weaving in and out of my life and adding to this experience of being human.
Shatabishak means, she who heals in 100 ways. It is the lineage healer. And through lineage and ancestral healing, wisdom flows through. Love flows through. And I’m not talking a linear path here. I’m talking about up and down, left and right, forward and back, spirals and webs and all the directions. The age of linear is done and gone. It is the most archaic of ideas. No one is getting anywhere. It is all here, right now.
Through dozens of conversations with old friends, new friends, astrological and yoga clients alike, I’ve heard shared experiences of deep healing of old wounds, known and unknown and the healing coming from conversations and sharing alike.
I told Mom about a vision I was having which is like this network of communication happening of the feminine, but it was like a spiderweb, and each of us are drops of dew on the web of healing. Through this invisible web, covering the globe, we are the resistance… we are the medicine… and we are meant to be out of our comfort zone, isolated in some way but in the world being of service.
Remembering our web is what helps us remember we are connected, which helps us re-member.
I don’t know how you received this, but if you are reading it, you are re-membering as well. Take what resonates and let the rest go.
Continue your spiral inward, outward and all around. ♥
