It’s always nice to know a softer cycle is ahead. Moon is exalted in beautiful Rohini showing us the potential beauty amidst gray skies.
Today Rahu enters mystical Pisces and Ketu in healing Virgo.
I would expect this 18-1/2 month transit to accelerate our journey of collective healing, (ahem) although it might feel pretty personal at times for some of us (especially if Pisces is your first house).
I say this also because on Saturday, Saturn also moves out of retrograde and starts forward again to transit through Aquarius, covering the ground that was lost. Remember when I told you this year was all about collective healing? Saturn transited through Aquarius midway through Shatabishak, the 100 healers, then went retrograde back to Dhanishtha, and now will move forward to cover this lost ground.
Sometimes we have to take two steps backward to re-member, to re-group… to hear and see and bear witness and really get the message. It is all too easy to skip forward and pretend what you saw wasn’t really the issue. When retrogrades happen, it is like writing in ALL CAPS. It is trying to get your attention. Wake Up! Tune inward. Learn to listen instead of project opinions and judgements and bias. Digest your fears and uncertainties and make them something of value that benefits all people, not just your people.
Now friendly Saturn and Rahu are moving towards each other to meet in the middle in April of 2025. That seems like a long way away… but we have work to do and Saturn and Rahu will motivate some of us to get busy doing the hard work of inner transformation, personal growth and collective evolution.
(I know this sounds very mystical and idealistic, but I am a Pisces rising and it is my dharma to suggest these ideals to you.)
I spent the eclipse day walking the grounds of Serpent Mound then in retreat with 30 other unknown new friends. I went to Hope Springs Institute in Peebles, Ohio, where they were re-grouping and re-membering to be an even more special place for soft landings for those doing the work I’m speaking of.
I was called there mystically.
Shortly after I arrived, I went to the “spirit house” where I saw a miniature version of a retreat center I planned out on July 4, 2014. The only really exception is that in my vision I had roll-away loveseats around the inside firepit, not meditation backjacks.
I felt uncomfortable…maybe like some of you do when you come to one of my retreats or workshops. I didn’t know anyone. They all had their own language and were all intimates. I was the only outsider.
I had to learn to find my place in their established tribe. Although I fit in perfectly and was very much respected, welcomed and listened to, I really felt like leaving early.
Early the next morning, a stranger invited me to join her for a bagel. And we connected. We both had a love for astrology but she had no knowledge of Jyotisha. I offered her a reading and magic happened. And my place was known to me. I recognized how I fit in and how this place will be of great value to me personally but maybe where I take groups in the future.
Hope Springs IS the epitome of Shatabishak nakshatra. The owner gave me the birthtime so I could create a birth chart and understand what this place is about. Saturn and Sun are in Shatabishak and Saturn is having it’s Saturn return. It is about initiation into lineage healing which supports the collective healing.
If any of this interests you, I invite you to email me back and let me know if you are interested in the retreat I’ll be holding there during this Saturn Return in Shatabishak. Also, you might want to just visit their website and find an amazing offering from another facilitator. I saw the schedule and basically every weekend will have amazing offerings next year (even if they are not listed yet). It would be great to keep them in mind as you align to your part of this personal and collective story.
