Today the Moon is in Purva Bhadra and tomorrow Uttara Bhadra, on this 14th day of the waning lunar cycle. The Goddess is asked to surrender the last of the divine qualities which makes this a particularly hard day for some.
The Bhadras are symbolized by a bed, the head and foot of the bed. Past life merit being cashed in, and merit being strived for in a future life. And in a place of the zodiac known for surrender, letting go, going to the next thing, just like the dark moon.
