Friends, I hope you had an amazing Thanks+Giving with your family and spent some time honoring the lands you walk upon, as a good steward.
Before I get to the transits, I’m sharing two special things I’m doing:
NEXT Saturday, December 2nd at 1pm (until 4ish), I’ll be at Booktenders, 621 Central Ave, Barboursville, offering free mini readings. Bring your TIME, birthdate and place with you and grab a seat and I’ll share with you about the innate power bestowed upon you at the time of your birth. These readings are about 5-minutes long and I’ll have a printout of the information I offered you, and also give you a 20% discount for a full initial reading if you are so inclined.
However, having just this one piece of understanding can bring so much clarity and peace to your life. Full readings are certainly optional.
I hope to see you Saturday. If well-received, I may offer more of these sessions. Booktenders is a lovely gem in the heart of the village of Barboursville. My friend, Ashley is a co-owner, fellow yoga practitioner and rebel. They serve wine and coffee at this bookshop. If you haven’t been there yet, it is time to get out there and visit. I’m sure they have a lot of fun going on today during Small Business Saturday so make a stop in. I just couldn’t face the crowds today, personally. So I’ll see you next week.Secondly, I added a new offering with a special introductory price of $88. It is a 45-minute reading that presents you with the innate power of all your planets in your natal chart, not just one. Sometimes initial readings are too complicated for people, or just too much too fast.
This session is only focused on the nakshatras (stars) and will include a customized handout of your nakshatras + house + planet associated with each placement in your Vedic natal chart. If/when time permits, you can also ask one question that is important to you at this point in your life; for example "I want to know more about the location I’m living in (Astrocartography) and how it affects me based on my natal chart." Limited time price and only available through Zoom session or pre-recorded. Sign up here. Pricing increases January 1.
On Monday morning, the moon is full in Rohini nakshatra of Taurus. This is the moon’s favorite position, and being full amplifies this placement and innate power. Full moon happens when the moon is 180 degrees from the Sun in the Zodiac. The Sun is one one side of the earth and the moon is at the other side, 180 degrees from each other.
Moon is considered the feminine energy, divine feminine, full potential and energy when it is full. Sun is considered the masculine energy, divine masculine that offers us purposefulness.
Purpose without Power is lame. Power without Purpose is scattered.
This dynamic is always playing out, ebbing and flowing in our lives, hence the good days and the bad days; the ups and the downs. For some of us, this can be like a roller coaster, and for others a gentle rowing of the boat down the stream.
Here I share more about Rohini, where the moon is full:
And Anuradha, where the sun is positioned with purpose:
This full moon happens in the feminine earth and water signs, respectively, which brings a softer energy of allowing the creativity and the worship to flow through (vs. the striving nature of the masculine signs).
Mercury is moving through a hard transition over the next few days as it begins to leave the rough waters of Scorpio and move into Sagittarius. This particular placement is called gandanta, which means knot. This placement at the end of Jyeshtha and the beginning of Mula is where a knot is tied tight and the planet must navigate those waters with grace as it moves into a fiery sign. This is where we are moving from flowy waters to fiery transformation. Gandanta happens in three different places in the Zodiac, and this particular knot is tied at the root. In yoga, we look at this as a granti tied at the 1st chakra region.
This transit lasts from Nov 26 through Feb 1, so it is short. Just bide your time and let yourself move with the ups and downs. Can you hold two differing emotions at one time? Now is the time you will get to test yourself. For some people this will be more obvious than others. Allow yourself not to be perfect; allow your emotions to be felt and discharged respectfully to both you and the world. Co-participate with this ebbing and flowing.
Venus moves into Libra on November 29th. NOW THIS is where most of us start feeling more grace and happiness again. Especially those Libras and Taurus rising and moon signs.
Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Om Namah Shivaya.
- my non-dual teacher, Florian, use to proclaim this and it always made me laugh. He honored all the traditions or none of the traditions.
For quite a while, we’ve dealt with a challenged Venus, through retrogrades, enemy signs, combustion, etc. Now Venus will be in its own sign where it is has great dignity and power, and for those Virgo and Moon signs, this gives you a special boon of a Malavya Yoga, which just means ‘extra extra good’ in layperson lingo. Venus will be in Libra through December 24th.
Well friends, that is all I have today. I’ve been revamping my website and offerings. Streamlining and such.
I’m offering only two yoga classes in January 2024, Tues 6pm and Weds 11am. Get in while you can.
I’ll be focusing on bringing my Astrocartography and Astrology out of hiding and that is more regional and global work but you’ll see me offering things from time to time like this Saturday at Booktenders.
And I will be hosting a Restorative Retreat May 10-12 in Peebles, Ohio - which is a great getaway for rejuvenation over Mother’s Day weekend. Next time I write, I hope to be sharing more.
Stay in touch at my newsletter (this is not my newsletter, it is my blog site).
May you continue this realization that you are the peace that passes understanding and not the ebb and flow of life. The ebbing and flowing are like clouds passing through your sky life.
