From Darkness to Light

Part 7 | Total Eclipse of the "myself"

Yesterday, in one of the best teaching experiences that was a shared offering with Lindy Hoeft, I was asked, not once, but twice, about knowing what was true within myself, heart’s desire, alignment. I save responses like that for in person heart-to-hearts, but it did inspire me to want to share and emphasize something.

There will always be chaos out there no matter what. In our lifetimes here on Earth, there will always (most likely) be disease, war, famine, rape, abuse against women, abuse against men, abuse against children, abuse against the weak among us, power over, rich taking what is not theirs to take, etc.

Likely we will see this increase over the next couple of years.

I talk about finding something that is your birthright and it is within you at all times no matter what, even when you most doubt it. It is the baseline peace of who you are.

Please note: This does NOT mean that we acquiesce and tolerate. Absolutely not.

And, regarding that baseline peace, there are 1) ways to access it, and 2) ways to live from it and know that is who you are no matter how the outer circumstances are presenting. It is the most true thing I know and experience for myself and it is why I can write these blogs, teach yoga, do hard things, have hard conversations with friends and hold their stories with care and love.

Yesterday was a day filled with truth, love, tools, support, care, from every single person who showed up. And these are the people that, even if they are doubting it, are holding down the fort when the shit gets real and other people cannot show up. We all have our ebbs and flow… just like the Moon phases, the eclipse cycles, the Saturn’s return.

What is remarkable about eclipses is the insight that comes during these periods when we have alignment of body (earth), mind (moon) and soul (sun). With relationship to the lunar nodes: Rahu (wanting you to choose and/or rebel against the standard quo), and Ketu (everything you didn’t choose as a person living this life – as it is past life moving into the foreground).

Insight = in(ner) sight; our ability to see our inner landscape better, beneath our conditioned environment.

We can harness this insight and generate it into power for our journey. Or we can miss this opportunity. Or become a victim of the exterior circumstances.

The Zodiac is Space, simply space, divided up into twelve equal sections called Zodiac Signs.

Through those Zodiacal signs, channeled and with or without the nine Planets, is the refracted light of the Stars, called Nakshatras.

Light is Pure Power (Shakti, Consciousness in Motion) which is refracted through the nakshatras, the planets, the signs, the houses and nuanced through each degree of the Zodiac, with exact precision, to create a blueprint for your life to unfold as you evolve at the soul level, through human form. This is more than astrology or astronomy; it is the whole of the cosmos embodied into You.

The Zodiac is a metaphor for Your Body (physical, subtle and causal). Your inner realm.

You are a soul on a journey, and this is just one stop of multitudes. Let’s make the most of it!
