Here we are again, me coming out of hibernations to say “he-eey.”
Hey there. It me. Again.
I’ve been quiet because so much of my focus has been on integrating breathwork into my practice of holistic wellbeing. Interesting as I’ve been pondering and talking about liminal space today. Liminal space is the place of the in-between, the not-quite-there-yet and also not-where-I-was-either.
And wowza, we all LOVE the breathwork. It is one of those things you just have to experience (and there is a special class tonight at 6:30pm if you got some get up and go out into the hades weather we are experiencing).
Full Moons come and go, wax and wane, every month. This is the last full moon of the ebbing solar eclipse cycle of April 8th. In two weeks we will have the final New Moon where the solar eclipse happens and then we start flowing toward the next solar eclipse on October 2nd. So, in a way, we will enter the liminal space between eclipses. The lull.
A hot minute ago (literally), I was talking to a friend about the liminal space between the fullness of the moon, the exact degree of Full (which is the peak) and then the very next minute we are waning to the new moon.
When is the moon full? Is it full the entire day when the Moon enters the 15th tithi? It is still in Scorpio but we know it will be the Full Moon of Sagittarius. So yes, energy wise, the Moon is fully lit, obviously. Which also means it is full of shakti, and that is true for the days surrounding it.
However, if you watched the April 8th eclipse, either live or in the socials, you know experientially that the exact degree and exact minute counts. For those few minutes at exact degree when Sun and Moon were directly together, the light of the Sun was blocked by the Moon …and time stood still…
We stood together.
We breathed together.
We hoped together.
And then a moment later, the Moon moved on with it and as did the rest of us… and the world.
This has happened for eons. It kinda makes me want to cry.
The Moon in its fullest fullness will be with Mula, The Rooted One. It is a foundational star and about going to the source of Truth Of All. Interestingly, Mula is the placement where the black hole is. Maybe that is why it is associated with disappointment and healing. When you go into The Void, and learn the Truth Of All That Is… I’m betting there will be some disappointment for that little ole ego of yours, and then the healing begins. The dawn of spirituality.
(Just kidding; I didn’t mean your ego. Those are just words and I’m being cheeky today.)
Also, what make the Moon full, you ask? Why of course, it is the light of the Sun!
And Sun is with Ardra, the star of emotion, often bringing storms, destruction, frustration and offering the gift of the power to Feel and Act! Holy Cow we are offered divine opportunities at ever turn. Those teardrops? Those are the nectar of transformation, of healing, of learning how to handle (in this instance) the power of Mula’s transformation and truth and mulching it into practical real world value.
I’m gonna put a pin in this story for a moment and remind you that I have a transformational breathwork class tonight where we will be bridging these two energies together for our own transformation. This is the last of the $10 intro classes and only a couple spots left. Get on it!
If you haven’t been studying astrology for your own personal growth, then the following isn’t going to resonate for you, so just focus on what I wrote above and let that ripen and stew.
Four of the 12 astrology houses are called “angles” or corners. I call them cornerstones. They are houses: 1, 4, 7 and 10.
1st house is the most important of all, it is our house of ME (who I am in this world).
4th house is home, emotional security, safety. Mom.
7th house is our mirrors, those important people in our life who matter and reflect to us our shadows so we can heal them (and in some cases those people reflect to us our true nature of who we are, if we are lucky to find such people).
10th house is our Truth in Action. Also known as the karma house. It is how we apply dharma and purpose into the world. Some people call this the house of work also.
What is obvious to me now is how Moon/Mula and Sun/Ardra are in the 1st and 7th houses, with Ardra being the Mirror of the Truth.
And the two shadow planets, known as the karmic axis and where eclipses happen as they shadow the luminaries Sun and Moon, are in the 4th (Rahu/Revati) and 10th (Ketu/Hasta).
This is such a powerful time, a pause in the story, to really reflect about this portal and what is happening for you. If you have read this far, I’m guessing that this is a very important time for you indeed.
You are shedding layers of samskaras and stored junk that no longer serve you. You are freeing yourself. You go girl. I’m rooting for you!
Also, I want to kindly note that Venus and Mercury are both with Ardra in Gemini as well, combust by the sun (they got sunburned and maybe rbrm that Venus is sun-poisoned right now). So make sure you are cooling yourself with some of that sacred essential oil spray and keeping yourself cool.
Here is Mula’s theme song:
