Horoscopes for Water Signs
Overarching themes for Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio | October 2024 through January 2025
The weather has shifted, there is a knowing we are in a new cycle, and today I am sharing some overarching themes for the water signs as we approach the last months of 2024 and move into 2025.
If your natal chart Ascendant (or Moon) is in one of the water signs (Pisces, Cancer or Scorpio), Dharma houses for you are 1, 5 and 9.
The lunar nodes and therefore the eclipses have been in your Dharma (purpose) and Kama (enjoyment) houses and will continue to be there through May of 2025. Rahu is in Pisces and Ketu is in Virgo. The nodes are always retrograde and thus as they transit in that retrograde manner, give us opportunities to clean up our shadows, traumas and samskaras that we are here to work with as we evolve.
Saturn (currently in his retrograde) has been in Aquarius, a Moksha house (liberation) and will continue through March of 2025. (Either your 4th, 8th or 12th house) Saturn is the deliverer of lessons that teach us about perseverance, endurance and humility. It wants to see us be our best (non-egoic) self.
Jupiter (also currently retrograde) is in Taurus, a Kama house (enjoyment) through April. (Either 3rd, 7th, or 11th house) Jupiter makes things bigger, more hopeful but also more dramatic or more dogmatic. He bears wisdom to instill in us.
Those are some of the bigger astrological transits happening over your natal chart.
Pisces: The eclipse in Virgo on October 2nd, moved your shadow work to the forefront for some deep clearing of sticky things in intimate and important partnerships, either on the personal level or professional. This has led to some joy re-emerging. Today’s full moon in Aries Ashwini (gandanta point, ruled by Ketu) is an initiation of sorts into an up leveled relationship with your core values, which in turn affects your self-esteem, the way you speak truth into the world, and also affects the money you can receive. Over the course of the next few months, this is helping you understand what you are here to do on a deeper level, your mission in the world. By the time the first new moon of the year on January 29th, in Shravana Capricorn nakshatra, you’ll be deciphering the hidden messages and applying to your bigger sphere circle of influence and friends.
Cancer: The eclipse in Virgo on October 2nd allowed you to come to terms with or at least begin understanding that what you focus on creates the stressors in your life. You can change your thoughts. You can change the people you hang out with. You can change your job. And in doing so, by co-participating and changing your environment, you change your level of stress and dissatisfaction. You must apply discipline, willpower and use your words. In December, Mars debilitated in Cancer, your 1st house, will make you question right action and if it is all worth it. Again, this is shadow work that you are being called to work with and en-light-en those pesky corners of the house. You might complain, but you’ll do it anyway. On top of this self work, Saturn retrograde and then direct again in the 8th house of the hidden and the ancestors encourages you to stick with being in relationship with grief and honoring those who came before you. With this full moon today in Ashwini Aries, ruled by Ketu, expect a fast withdrawal of some sort in the realm of your work (easy come, easy go). The new moon on January 29th will bring clarity and understanding in important partnerships.
Scorpio: The eclipse in October happened in your wider sphere of influence but also highest healing, the 11th house, forcing more of your attention to look at the bigger picture vs. your personal mission and home life. Over the next months as Mars, your planetary ruler, moves from your 8th house of the hidden to the 9th house of high dharma, debilitated, consider that this introversion is happening to keep you looking at the bigger picture and who you are here to serve and find your willingness to be seen on that bigger stage. Rahu in the meantime transiting your 5th house may try to trick you into staying in your shell. Challenge him and try to find the medicine hiding in the 11th just for you. Honoring your ancestors of your material lineage is paramount over the next months. The full moon in Ashwini Ketu may be bringing a flash of insight in healing your gut, or gut knowing. Tune in and let your intuition be tuned up. By the new moon at the end of January, you’ll have insight into 3rd house matters, such as your environment and how it affects your stress levels, siblings, willpower. Use that insight to your advantage.
