Being well-resourced lends to resiliency and immunity when times become challenging. It also gives us a platform in which to fulfill our purpose in life, as well as find enjoyment in being purposeful.
From a practical perspective, Restorative Yoga affords us much needed time for restoration and rejuvenation.
I love the term I’ve been seeing around a lot: Wintering.
It means: To lodge, keep, or care for during the winter: wintering the sheep in the stable.
(My translation: Such as caring for ourselves in our restorative nests and sanctuary.)
Restorative Yoga gives us a big time-out to go inward and be guided toward a particular area for support and release.
For this February Wintering, I’m offering up four special Restorative Yoga classes designed for inner support of the four cornerstones in life.
The first cornerstone we will be working with is of our Resources and how well we are resourced. If you are fully and completely resourced, you probably haven’t read this far, but if you are still reading, this class option might be the pause that you are looking for on a wintery Saturday morning.
Resources are impacted by how our upbringing unfolded in our family home, establishing values and esteem, which then followed us into our social scenes with acquaintances, fellow students, peers, colleagues, employees and such, and eventually supports the cornerstone of our reputation, morals, professionalism and career. In other words, if we have challenges in the first area, it tends to follow us through to the realization of our vocation.
Resources can be understood and seen in a deeper way through investigation into your natal astrological chart through the 2nd, 6th and 10th houses. However, that is not need needed in order to do the inner work of releasing some of the bound up story in our physicality (body). I just thought you might be interested in knowing this. The image presented above shows the cornerstone of our Vocation, our 10th house and the supporting cast of houses 2 and 6. Even just contemplation of this map can help you gain clarity around any challenges you might find. If you are like me and have digestive or autoimmune issues, you might find this particularly interesting and begin connecting the dots of issues plaguing your lived experience.
Saturday morning, 10-11:15am Eastern Time, I’ll be guiding a Restorative Yoga and Meditation class in alignment with supporting this idea of Resources.
It is online and therefore available to local and non-local people. I’d love for you to join me via Zoom. The class is offered as a Pay What You Want so there is a zero-risk opportunity for you join in.
You’ll need to gather some comfies from around your home to create a nest for yourself, but this is all easy enough. Also, some time spent reflecting on your resources could prove useful as we dive in.
