Today marks the 4th Day that is rooted in celebrating Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. Ganesha is seen as the presiding deity of our root chakra, the 1st chakra, helping us to stay grounded, practical, fearless and free from delusion on our spiritual path. He removes from our mind all the mind-made obstacles, all outdated beliefs and thought structures, so we can make space for growth and progress, by keeping our mind open for learning and new possibilities.
I’m feeling the removing of some obstacles today.
Last night, I completed the last of the big certification courses that I have been working on non-stop since 2019: I started with Ayurveda Wellness coaching, then moved to a 2-year intensive study with Jyotisha/Vedic Astrology and completed a Vedic Counseling certification, accumulating 1175 certification hours plus countless study hours over the last 3-1/2 hours.
All of this internal and external work has been to help me take Yoga practices to a lifestyle that encompasses the physical, subtle and causal realms. Vedic Counseling seams together the sciences of Yoga, Jyotisha, Ayurveda and Vastu into a holistic system that helps me to provide education and horizonal support (a guide on your journey) to help see from a wider lens the next steps to take, how to navigate karma and the repeated patterns and ultimately how to live a purpose-driven life that is unique to you.
Starting September 11th, I’ll be sharing a monthly lifestyle workshop as part of the Live/Love/Matter series and starting in January, on the 4th Fridays, I’ll have a Jyotisha-focused workshop on The Rooms of Your Life. Plus our normal yoga and meditation weekly classes and occasional in-depth, focused retreats. The workshops are both available online and in-person. Learn more here: https://huntingtonyoga.com/menu/
