Krittika - The Full Moon
The Cutter & The New Path Forward
This Friday, November 15, 2024, at 4:29pm Eastern Time, the Moon is full at the very tail end of Aries in Krittika nakshatra, The Cutter. The flip side of this Full Moon is the Sun at the tail end of Libra Vishakha nakshatra, The New Path Forward.
This post may challenge you as I offer my alternative views, politically and collectively. Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) is the Science of Light and how the light of consciousness rises in each of us. Therefore it is about understanding our light and that which blocks our light. It is our responsibility to clear the blockages and shadows that prevent our light from shining.
This Full Moon comes after the New Moon in Swati, The Diplomat of the Zodiac, and the biggest and most relevant presidential election in the life of Americans living in the United States.
Swati is about bridging together two opposing sides. It is the central point of the Zodiac, super flexible so it can sway and find its way through, but it can also endure tough conditions. Think of it as a delicate flower growing through the crack of the sidewalk, to remind us of the beauty emerging from the space in-between. Between the in-breath and the out-breath (the space between the out-breath and the in-breath is located somewhere else).
I was on retreat as the election and results unfolded. It was a deep retreat, not a “fun” retreat, although there was fun to be had. But from this depth, it became obvious that no one wins here. The Right didn’t win. The Left didn’t lose.
Swati reminds us that the only true place of winning is in those whose hearts have awakened to the false duality of the outer world and learned to navigate duality from that liminal space in-between the cracked open heart.
Now, many, maybe most of you will read that differently than how it is meant to be shared. Either you think it is a bypass, or you just don’t get me. That’s ok. We get the medicine we need. Just trust yourself. However, if you want to keep exploring, I’ll share more.
When we are moving from the outer environment, everything is black and white, smoke and mirrors, winners and losers, right and left, maga and progressives. The list is never-ending.
I think we should all ask the question: Who wins from this illusion? The 1% puppet masters pulling the strings are those who “think” they win. Those are the masters to which most of this world bows and plays their game. You go, girl.
However, take a deep breath. Pause. Reflect. If you are being played or playing, can you shift gears? Can you anchor yourself in your heart, see the other side isn’t the enemy, and still make your choice but without making it personal and others bad? Can you still love them as they are, faults and all? I don’t think most people can.
This is how you win: Regardless of what side you are on, if you want to win, anchor yourself into your heart, and love your neighbor AS they are, not despite who they are. Not praying for their salvation. Love them AS they are. Period.
So, back to the Full Moon this month, the other half of the lunar cycle. The friendly and almost exalted Moon is full in Krittika, which is ruled by the Sun (in Mars’ sign of Aries which is a big upcoming theme that I’ll dive into in December). The Cutter/Krittika is about cutting away the ties that bind us. Are you too attached/bonded to your opinions, beliefs, and desires? Krittika will cut that away. Krittika can cut away your peace and transcendence, but it can also cut away your attachments to the worldly sphere. Who is your God? Who do you bow down to? In this context, it could be your worldly opinions and the media (all of them) outlets, or it could be your Highest Nature, your God Self.
If it is the worldly, you are in the back and forth and the right and the wrong. If you are in the Highest Nature, you are loving of All That Is because you directly know that is the same Highest Nature as you.
Now that is Tough Love.
And the Sun is debilitated in Libra Vishakha nakshatra, The New Path Forward. Vishakha is that sacred archway that we cross through as we take the new path forward.
We are looking at a new world now.
