Today begins a new spiral inward as the Moon travels through Magha.
It is the tenth of the 27 Nakshatras, and begins the middle third of the Zodiac at the very beginning of Leo. Leo is ruled by the Sun and the sign before, Cancer is ruled by the Moon, representatives of divine mother and divine father. In a way, after making our way through birth to the sign of the divine mother, earth mother, she lets go of our hand so we can learn to leave this body to learn the lessons of the divine father, sky father. But it is going to take some hard work without the safety net of mama.
At the midway point between these two is a knot that is tied, a hard passageway we have to maneuver which is representative of a knot that is tied in our subtle body at the third eye. (For those who know eastern anatomy, you understand where I’m going here.)
In Ashwini, this was about the sperm and the egg unifying to make a whole. Here in Magha, it is about the unification at the third eye of the masculine and the feminine energy so that the soul self can embody into this physical world.
The Soul Self is the past, the whole of who we are is now asking to be a part of what we represent in this life.
That is a big ask.
Remember, this is an endless cycle of birth, growth, transformation, death, incubation, rebirth. This cycle is continuing to play out.
Magha is like an initiation - into royalty.
There is an empty throne waiting for your ascension when you are experienced and have the wisdom to take it.
It brings the support of the ancestors, all that came before you, which includes the prior yous. This life and past life. You are the ancestor you’ve been waiting for.
It brings magnificence.
The shakti or power of Magha is the power to leave the body, to commune with all of who we are and where we came from.
Remember, in Ashlesha yesterday, we were learning to physically embody. Here the lessons begin in a new way if we learned to physically embody. Now the soul wants to take a seat, the royal seat. But we have to do the work for this to happen.
If you have Magha in your chart you are likely a person who has a lot magnificence in your life, you may be quite close to your family, your still living ancestors and hopefully have respect for what they’ve produced…you.
For all of us, when the Moon transits Magha, as it is doing today, we might find that we are learning to step into a new role, or have ancestors visit in our dreams.
Ketu is the ruler of Magha and that is showing that the power of Magha is not in the head. It is in the heart. It is in the subtle body. It is from past life experience and understanding that is beyond comprehension by our limited, conditioned mind of this life experience.
My favorite song that represents Magha:
Be Now.

PS…Find Ashwini here if you want to compare the two.
Well expressed. Thank you
