Mrigashira | The Search
Today the Moon transits Mrigashira, starting in Taurus this morning then will move to Gemini.
Mrigashira is the fifth nakshatra of the Zodiac and is represented by the symbol of the deer head, searching for the nectar. Deer jump fences and search for the good sprouts and branches, the tender cuts. Then they find their herd and bring them to the good food, the nectar.
Once we’ve cut away and grown enough, we begin the search, the curious stage. On one hand we have to search to get ourselves into a mess so that we can have karmic lessons and grow as an individual having this life.
But on a higher octave we are searching for something that is eternal, the nectar of immortality. Amrita or Soma.
Searching looks like many things: Searching for a partner in life, searching for the right job, opening the refrigerator and looking for something to eat, shopping online for endless hours, searching for relief of the mundane through binge watching and numbing through mind-altering substances.
Ultimately we are looking for what is eternal. That is really the only thing that satisfies the search.
Mrigashira is ruled by Mars and indicates the courage and energy to be on a search that seems endless. Those highly impacted by Mrigashira have boundless energy for finding their heart’s true desire and calling. It is the journey of a lifetime.
When Moon transits Mrigashira, like it is doing today, you might breadcrumbs to follow that are leading you to your true home, your true heart. Follow them.
One of my all time favorites and definitely reminds me of Mrigashira, although several Mrigashira natives I know eventually did find what they were looking for…
Would love to hear if this resonated for you, and how.
