Some last minute thoughts on ‘Why Ritual’ is important. As a daughter of a high-voltage electrician, I learned early on the importance of honoring a risky relationship with electricity.

It’s like this: Containment and the masculine creates safety for the wild and feminine shakti/electricity

Electricity channeled appropriately (and grounded) affords us light and warmth and the ability to cook and provide nourishment for ourselves and others.

Unchanneled electricity, for example ‘lightning’ is unchanneled. Chaotic. Can be deadly when encountered directly. 

Ritual allows us to corral our inner electricity we call prana and guide it to something of higher use, spiritual practice, working with our charges and triggers and eventually building a stronger container.
