New Moon Sunday 5:54pm

This waning cycle of the moon, which started on September 10th and ends at the new moon on Sunday at 5:54pm is known as the time of honoring the ancestors and healing the past. This cycle has been a time of going to the past to uncover and heal what has been forgotten and brushed aside. Additionally we have Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn all in retrograde (plus Neptune, Pluto and Uranus also in retrograde but not used in Jyotisha). Six planets all supporting and enforcing these same ideals…making amends, freeing the energy, seeing things for what they are and not how we’ve boxed them in.

I know it hasn’t felt good for most of us (reading this) as so many of you have reached out to me with illness, crisis and other undesirable experiences. I see you in this.

I’ve also been challenged, super quiet without words to share in this blog.

These are the times of healing and the astronomy and astrology shows us that storyline.

At the exact conjunction of the New Moon, it shows it as in the 8th house which is also the house of ancestors, longevity, and the occult (with Venus and Mercury also with the Moon and Sun). That is powerful support for healing that which we cannot see.

This is the time for trust and faith of practice and Self.

As I’ve written before, I look at the full cycle…where is this New Moon heading? The Full Moon on October 9th is in Revati nakshatra (conjunct with Jupiter) in the sign of Pisces. Revati is known as the Transcendent and Wealthy. It is the last of the nakshatras and gentle in nature, guided by the deity Pushan, the nourisher/the shepherd. Another symbol is the lighthouse as Revati lights the path up for us.

And shortly after, Saturn will move out of Retrograde and we will feel the weight lifted and progress picking up as Saturn moves towards its destination of Aquarius for the next 3 years.

Saturn has been the weight of the past (Jan 2020). Saturn is weight. It holds us back so that we do not miss the lesson, that we take the fork in the road and if we took the wrong turn, it retrogrades back so we have that opportunity to do it over and take the other road.

As all of this happens, we have all the elections, all of the political and cultural issues at hand. I guess we will see what happens.

For now, these are the forces at play and how I see them.
