Shatabishak | The 100 Healers
Moon in Shatabishak + Krishna Saptami (7th lunar day after full moon)
Today the Moon lands in Shatabishak, the star of the 100 healers. Here we are healing the masses, the lineage backwards and forwards, that exists on secrets hidden or suppressed. I suspect that this wheel of karma that exists and keeps us in this cycle of birth, death, rebirth is in part based on these secrets that need addressed so the energy can be released. These are the secrets of our past. But “we” are not an individual, we are a collective and the collective is the ancestors, all those that came before us. They are us. We are also the ancestor of those who come after us, we are the walking ancestors of tomorrow.
Shatabishak is symbolized by an incomplete circle, the gap that isn’t fully closed. A veil that hides but isn’t completely shadowing or obstructing. It is the mystery. It is smoke. It is Rahu.
Rahu rules Shatabishak nakshatra, as well as Ardra and Swati. Rahu creates smoke. In Ardra the smoke is about a storm that we have to clear and master. In Swati, it is about bridging differences among people and organizing us as one whole instead of me vs. them (sharing this Earth together). In Shatabishak, the smoke is here so we do the work to create a collective healing; a lineage healing.
Where Ashwini, the other healing nakshatra, is about quick and physical healing, Shatabishak is about complicated, long-standing, karmic healing that has been carried through the lines. To do that, you need some serious motivation that Rahu brings to the game. Rahu is always about our soul’s journey forward and has the motivation to get dirty in ways that the other planets don’t or won’t.
And the song for Shatabishak…
