Surrender: Inner Child + Shadow Transformation + Spirituality
Part 3: The Case for Restorative Yoga and The Four Cornerstones
Yesterday (Feb 15) Venus moved into Pisces, the natural 12th house of the zodiac. This is where Venus gains maximum strength, called exaltation. Also Jupiter is here in his own sign. In other words, both teachers of the zodiac are here in Pisces, the sign of expansive waters, fantasy, imagination, spirituality, endings, creativity and devotion. These two teachers will be here together for a month giving ample time to relish in their lessons and gifts of:
wisdom, optimism, hope (Jupiter) +
pleasure, happiness, beauty, comfort (Venus)
Take time to note what house this is for you. As my Ascendant is Pisces, this is my first house. Pisces rising people have these natural twelfth house qualities as part of their imprinted personality. #iykyk

This is the companion blog that goes with Saturday’s upcoming class.
This week as Venus enters Pisces, the natural placement of ultimate surrender in the zodiac, we discuss our next cornerstone: Moksha… or surrender.
We all are asked to let go and surrender throughout life, at some times it is more obvious than other times and it is all in service or preparation for the ultimate of letting go, as we surrender this particular lifetime for what comes after.
In our astrological natal charts (Vedic, sidereal zodiac), the 4th house is our cornerstone representation for surrender, letting go. The umbilical cord was cut and over the evolution of the first three houses, we have learned to crawl, communication, compete for our needs and now as our emotional security starts becoming our responsibility, we can begin to “let go” of our mother’s hand as we find our way in the world.
Here, in the world, we encounter relationships with peers, friends, colleagues, other relatives and our partners, the significant others who reflect back to us our shadows so we can learn transformation, and another depth of letting go of “our old self” as the new skin emerges. Now we feel more independent and leaning into interdependence, ideally. It takes a village to progress and grow. This isn’t done on an island.
And, through walking in truth, interdependence and collective healing, we eventually find that this addiction to identity and personality must be surrendered in order to unite with our Soul Self connection.
It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
There is a price to pay for authentic liberation and freedom, and that price is surrender, letting go. But first, we want to trust that we have our safety net, our cornerstone of resources, we want to enjoy life, our cornerstone of enjoyment and relationships, then we can potentially let down that guard and rest deeply into that Soul Self foundation.
Restorative Yoga affords us much needed time to slowly dive into the playground of moksha. It is a process, a shedding of identity, a building of inner resiliency and a gaining of inner trust that allows this journey.
Ask: In what areas of my life to I refuse to trust and surrender?
We continue this February Wintering journey Saturday at 10-11:15am, where I will be guiding our third class in this journey of the four cornerstones, supporting you in surrender and letting go.
Moksha/Surrender can be understood and seen in a deeper way through investigation into your natal astrological chart. However, that is not need needed in order to do the inner work of releasing some of the bound up story in our physicality (body). I just thought you might be interested in knowing this.
The image presented above shows the cornerstone of our Astrological Heart, our 4th house and the supporting cast of houses 8 and 12. Contemplation of this map can help you gain clarity around any challenges you might find in this area of life.
Saturday morning, 10-11:15am Eastern Time, I’ll be guiding a Restorative Yoga and Meditation class in alignment with supporting this idea of Letting Go, Surrender.
It is online and therefore available to local and non-local people. I’d love for you to join me via Zoom. The class is offered as a Pay What You Want.
You’ll need to gather some comfies from around your home to create a nest for yourself, but this is all easy enough. Also, some time spent reflecting on where you might need to loosen your tight grip in life could prove useful as we dive in.
⏭️Next thing to do is sign up so you get the Zoom link before class, just click here: https://thewisdomsanctuary.as.me/saturdayrestore.
