From time to time, push back comes my way about astrological validity. The science of astrology comes from millennia of years of observation of transits and their effects. Millennia. Not decades.
I, myself, fall in the trap of “blaming” Ketu dasha for certain situations I’m enduring and I’ll use that example since it is active for me now and for another 5-1/2 years (yes, I’m counting the months).
Ketu is associated with the element of fire.
The elements are: Ether, Air, Fire, Water, Earth. Today, I’m just talking about fire, as we are all going through transformation.
Where fire in the physical realm (think of your physical body and life on Earth) creates havoc in our forests, especially in dry and hot seasons - creating wildfires. It has the ability to burn down and render useless almost any structure, making it ripe to start over.
Fire is also the element of warmth, lighting up the hearths in our homes, taking our raw foods and turning them in to rejuvenating soups and other warm meals to share with others, giving us hot baths and cozy environments into which to snuggle our children.
In Ayurveda, this is our digestive fire which turns anything we take in as food and turns it into nourishment for our seven layers of tissues, ultimately trying to create ojas, which is our resiliency and immunity.
Our physical realm is only one dimension of reality. We also have a subtle or astral realm. It relates to our energy body which is the body of vitality/prana and emotions. This subtle body is the bridge between our physical body and our soul self, the causal body.
Fire here IS THE FIRE OF TRANSFORMATION. It can turn to anger or complaining or frustration and eventually lead us to surrender to allowing the cathartic flow that happens after transformation. It makes change.
So what to do?
The astrology is validating and showing us the reality of the karmic lessons we are walking through. Through this validation and “being seen” from this higher perspective, we can more easily choose to move out of some sort of limited seeing and see through the eyes of our soul self.
And be willing conspirators in this evolution of consciousness through this particular vessel.
One day, I’ll write about the Causal Body (basically I write about it everyday, it is called Karma).
But for now, if you want to chat about this, find me over in the chat area and ask away (or set yourself up with a 1:1).
I’ve been watching this today… very powerful:
