This will be the final blog posts for this round of eclipses. If you want to join in an eclipse-focused class for stability and grounding, attend the class on Saturday at The Yoga Sanctuary. For now…
Let’s try to decipher what the solar eclipse might mean for you. Your lived life experience is the best indicator of what it means for you.
First, I would suggest you take some time to contemplate any increasing energy shifts since mid-January that are progressing and revealing themselves to you in this moment. This could feel negative and that is often what grabs our attention. Our nervous systems seem to be conditioned to seek out “what’s wrong” vs. “what’s right.” Look for both.
Trust yourself first; then seek out more clarity through what I have to share (by the way, learning to trust yourself first and then seek more information, is best practice).
Second, consider what kind of eclipse is happening. For April 8th, we are looking at Rahu in Pisces eclipsing the Sun. The Sun is what is being eclipsed. On October 2nd, it will be a Ketu eclipse (Ketu eclipsing the Sun). Pisces and Virgo are an axis, two sides of one coin.
What is noteworthy here in your consideration, is that that Rahu initiates a new cycle of change and growth, personally and collectively. We are looking personally at our own charts so you will want to know what house is Pisces for you and what house is Virgo.
Ketu solar eclipse (happening in October) is the other half of this cycle and it shows where something old and deep is being concentrated on and perfected… or uncovered.
Rahu is creating the interest and ambition to grow and Ketu will hone in and refine the lesson in six months.
You can consider the two images above to understand the energy of where the Sun, Moon and Rahu are in the alignment of the eclipse. Revati is the most sattvic (even or light natured) of the nakshatras.
On one hand, from that external lens, we might realize that on a very practical sense, the lightness and goodness is being eclipsed and that may not feel very good. I want to share that because I know many people are suffering in this.
On the other hand, the way I’m encouraging you to understand eclipses is from within. The eclipse helps us traverse our own inner landscape. With Revati being eclipsed, it is easier for us to go to deeper realms to do the hard subconscious work of clearing up some karma. By easier, I don’t necessarily mean emotionally easier. What I mean is that the pathways are more available. This is a ripe time to dive in deep and Rahu initiates that willingness to go there, maybe to places we’ve avoided all our life. You may be finding the willingness to pause in this eclipse and see what is real.
Next, what house number is Pisces in your natal chart? Virgo?
As an example, Pisces is my first house and Virgo is my 7th house. This is where the karmic axis is for 2024 and part of 2025, and thus this is where the eclipses are happening.
As Pisces is the 1st house and Rahu is transiting here, this makes the lessons I’m learning about my Truthful Identity first and foremost. Koham. Who Am I? Rahu is the initiator of my willingness and desire to dive in deeper to learn this truth.
And Virgo is my 7th house, with Ketu transiting here. On deck is learning about Agreements with Others and that lesson will be more in the foreground in the second half of the year leading up to the Oct 2nd Virgo Ketu solar eclipse.
Finally, one solid way to understand these eclipses is to revisit the past and the experiences you were having at that time. 2006 was the last time Rahu in Pisces and Ketu in Virgo was happening (then 1987, 1968, etc.).
In 2006, I was becoming increasingly more sick with autoimmune/digestive disorders as I was trying to become more aligned to my Truthful Identity. That is easy to see from this perspective 18 years later but iykyk, I was struggling immensely as I was being forced to renegotiate how I maneuvered in the world (being forced by karmic lessons that I was resisting). I continued resisting and struggling and suffering and eventually left a traditional career, never to return to that type of life again.
Seeing this now and feeling the new spiral inward to dial it in to a more nuanced station, I recognize the pattern. The prior 2006 ordeal created a pathway that I recognize today so the terrain isn’t so difficult (in fact, dare I say, it is pleasant and heart warming).
This is co-participating with karma. The karma was laid out at the time of birth and it is here to unfold. Instead of resisting it, I’m flowing with it. I recognize that this isn’t my life as it once seemed. This life is an experience unfolding and I’m bearing witness to it and also aligning with service.
If you made it this far, I want to share a little more that I shared with a friend yesterday.
I read Dr. Frawley’s report and I do see that it’s looking like a shitshow for 2024 (pardon the french).
I normally don’t really present the unfolding of karma that way. I could. But I don’t really see the point.
We cannot control these overall bigger cycles. I mean, you think you go and vote and make a decision. You think you participate in a collective decision. But from this vantage point that my awareness has taken, “control and decisions” seems to be smoke and mirrors.
What we can choose is to be a co-participant in our life. How we perceive. From what eyes we see. And be responsible for the energy we are putting in the world.
Let’s be really honest. What are you perpetuating. What qualities?
Higher qualities such as Love, Compassion, Gratitude, Awe, Equanimity, Wonder, Joy, Forgiveness?
Fear qualities such as Ignorance, Attachment, Hatred, Jealousy, Arrogance, Miserliness, Doubt, Projections?
We get to co-participate with our realized, choose from what eyes to see, from where to place our Awareness and let Consciousness move to the foreground.
It is hard. And we have to set ourselves up for success. We have to schedule meditation, prayer, practice, friends in high places to be seen in our good and bad times, etc. That takes making a decision, even it if is just scheduling something on the calendar and then following through.
One step at a time. Looking at my herstory over the last 18 years, there were a ton of “one step at a time” moments. And that is still how I operate.

This was part 6 of an ongoing series on the eclipses of 2024. And the last for a while. You can find the first 5 parts here: https://www.thewisdomsanctuary.com/t/2024-eclipses
My friend Lindy Hoeft and I are co-facilitating a Solar Eclipse Support Workshop on April 6th. These blogs are a companion resource to that workshop. The workshop is designed to offer support to make the most of the eclipse season as well as to consider ways to work with the energy. If you want to join us, sign up here.
If you want a reading, you can reach out directly or check out this page.
I’d LOVE to hear your stories about what you are or have learned from this or previous eclipse cycles. Feel free to post in the comments or message me!
I’m on your side!
