Just like the waxing and waning of the lunar phases (see image below), the eclipse cycles also have a waxing and waning. The waxing phase for this eclipse started with the new moon on January 11 and has progressively intensified over the past three months and will have it’s full effect on April 8th Total Solar Eclipse New Moon. And from there will continue to gently wane in intensity over the following three months.
At that point, the waxing phase for the Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse will start it’s waxing cycle.
In an eclipse, the Sun is what is being eclipsed. Every month the Sun moves a sign so that it covers the entire Zodiac within the period of one year. In actuality, it only appears that the Sun is moving. In actuality, the Earth cycles around the Sun but the apparent shifting of the Zodiac seems to be the Sun moving.
As the Sun moves sign to sign approaching Pisces since January, hints of the lessons of the eclipse are being dropped in more and more obvious ways. If you have a contemplative or meditative practice of inner vision, you probably are starting to get some idea of what might be revealed to you from the subconscious realms.
During the waning phase, what was revealed and seen (if anything) is ripe for remediation and integration.
And then the process begins again with the following eclipse cycle (in Virgo October 2nd).
We are looking at cycles within cycles, fractals within fractals.
We will be investigating this further in the days to come and especially in class on April 6th.

My friend Lindy Hoeft and I are co-facilitating a Solar Eclipse Support Workshop on April 6th. These blogs are a companion resource to that workshop. The workshop is designed to offer support to make the most of the eclipse season as well as to consider ways to work with the energy. If you want to join us, sign up here.
If you want a reading, you can reach out directly or check out this page.
